In the 3rd most popular article today in the NY Times, it reports how large corporate law firms are feeling the strain from the struggling economy. Layoffs have been occurring and it’s tougher getting a job fresh out of law school than it used to be.
When I graduated in 2001, the tech bubble had just burst and law firms felt the pain, too, with even Boston behemoth Testa Hurwitz folding. Now some firms have actually closed up shop.
