The WSJ reports that the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is set to drop its strategy of filing lawsuits against individuals who allegedly illegally download music from the internet. It was reported today that famed guitarist Joe Satriani has filed a lawsuit against the band Coldplay for copyright infringement in a Los Angeles federal court. Satriani claims that Coldplay plagiarized his song, “If I Could Fly” when it composed its new hit, “Viva La Vida.”
